From the service to the amazing amount of food you get. This place is definitely a 5/5. With how expensive things are nowadays, you get getting the best bang for your buck. The food was some of the best I’ve had in the area. The price doesn’t replicate the amount you get. I would’ve paid $30 for my meal in my area but for 6 pieces of pork roll and a grilled cheese with bacon it was only $19. Highly reccomend this place to anyone visiting the seaside heights or surrounding areas.

We found a delightful gem hidden away in the strip mall! The atmosphere is very warm, friendly and homey. Zoe is filled with warmth and personality. She is quick with service and wit. Chef and owner Alex made my breakfast one of the best Shakshukas I ever had. They've been here 3 years- I can't believe we never came here before but it is certainly a place we will be making our go to and working our way through the menu. Even their artisan coffees are outstanding!

Went the first time for breakfast on Friday morning. We ordered the breakfast sandwich which was delicious and so fresh. My husband had the breakfast quesadilla. So full of flavor. Service was pleasant and attentive. Truly a hidden gem in Tons River right next to Ken’s hardware store. Another hidden gem in Toms River!

Food is prepared with care, absolutely delicious. Zoe is very accommodating and attentive to her patrons. Love the 80's music, and it's not so loud that you cant have a conversation.

My daughter made reservations for 6 on Valentine’s Day for 4:30 pm. We had 4 adults and 2 toddlers. When we arrived we were greeted warmly and seated promptly. Morningstar is open for dinner only on Friday and Saturday, 4:00 - 9:00 pm, and is BYOB. We were given a few different menus. They have a wide range of offerings. We started with the macaroni and cheese, side of fries and “cauliflower wings” with the honey-harissa sauce. Our server was Zoe (hope I spelled that right). She was very friendly, warm, patient and happy. She gladly put in the few items early for my granddaughters. Zoe was extremely pleasant and interacted with the girls, who enjoyed the attention. The portions were generous. Our meals came a little later. I had a pesto, ricotta, and chorizo orecchiette. My wife got the caesar salad with grilled salmon. My daughter got the fall harvest salad with chicken cutlets. Her husband got flat-iron steak with Brussel sprouts and sweet potato hash. We were overwhelmed and greatly surprised when Zoe served us. The portions were absolutely huge. My daughter’s meal could have fed 3 people. Throughout the meal Zoe checked on us, joked with my granddaughters, and us. After the meal the girls wanted ice cream. Zoe fixed them a nice big cup of vanilla gelato with chocolate syrup and sprinkles. They were very happy. We will definitely be back for dinner. We have been there for breakfast and lunch before. This was our first dinner. The food was delicious and Zoe made the night. My one granddaughter had to run back in and give Zoe a hug, which she didn’t shy away from and gave her a big hug back. It is a small establishment; about 6 tables and the same number of booths. Tucked in the corner of the Dollar General/Goodwill shopping center, next to Ken’s hardware. I highly recommend going there.

Super cozy breakfast spot with very personal service. So many delicious and unique choices, and if you prefer to eat a heartier meal early in the day this is your spot because the whole menu is available when they open. I had the blueberry and brie grilled cheese and it came with the most scrumptious fries! Definitely check this spot out and look for their seasonal menu items like the Pistachio latte!

Wow... Just left there after having breakfast/brunch and I have to say, we definitely want to come back for lunch one day! To say the staff is pretty amazing is an understatement. Everyone is smiling, friendly and just plain happy! Everyone we saw greeted us or thanked us for stopping in. The coffee menu is extensive, with ever changing, tasty combinations. I had the Hot as Hades Red Eye coffee, which was amazing. Piping hot, a touch of spicy heat and fresh whipped cream topping it off. My wife had the DarkStar Chai, which she found equally delicious. I went for the Morning Star omelet. It was stuffed with chorizo, peppers and onions. It was plenty big enough, I should have only ate half, but it was too good! Hahaha... The parmigian smash potatoes were fantastic! So nice and crunchy on the outside and soft and creamy on the inside. We ordered a side of them, thinking I'd only get a couple with my meal. We'll, not only were there enough for both of us on my plate, but the side order was a huge bowl! They definitely won't go to waste ;) The sourdough toast was two nice sized slices of bread. My wife had the Eggs and Arugala. A huge pile of vibrant, crunchy arugula that was lightly dressed. The over easy eggs went well with the delicious avacado toast. A perfect sized brunch meal. We are looking forward to returning to try some of the delicious sounding items on the lunch menu.

We love Morning Star! We go there at least once a week. Cute little Cafe with great staff. The meals are very creative and super fresh. We love having Vegan options as well. Highly recommend going there vs a diner. Juan is great! Todays dish was outstanding.

This little gem in the corner of the Fischer Bay Plaza. It’s a cozy little brunch place that is a must try! I went back to back days on MDW, it was that good! The French toast was heavenly to say the least, the scrambled eggs were like light eggy pillows. We had the cannoli and peach Melba French toast 🤤, seriously unforgettable! The bacon was crisp and so tasty. I must say that the coffee was some of best I’ve had! Run, don’t walk to this place! It’s outstanding!!
